One of the best memories of the season was the big snow tree slashing pow day we had up at the Key. I know what you’re thinking, keystone AND pow?! Well let me tell you, it was awesome.
I remember we were on the way to Breck but opted to mix it up some and I think Key ended up reporting a little more new anyway. We met up with my friend Cory Sova and carpooled. Cory is super fun to shred with and we found out right from the first lap it would be a rad day.
We headed straight to North Peak and kept hitting a nice rock/cliff feature before making multiple laps on the far side of North Peak. Awesome trees, big new snow! I got so excited I didn’t even see the lift line rope and totally close lined myself.
Another fun part was we invented xTreme tripodding that afternoon. We wrapped it up and shut it down but we might have even made a few post 4p laps that day too. One of those days you didn’t wanna end. I will definitely remember that awesome day at Keystone!
