I’ve had my eye on the The Rome Gang Plank now for the last couple years and it was always a bummer because it was never made in my size, but, the wait is over! For the 2017/18 season Rome made a new version, the Mini Gang Plank. I’ve been on this board now for a couple months and it rides like a beast! I’m currently on the 142 and have only positive things to say. Simply put it rides with a lot more power than other boards in the youth lineup. It’s stiffer and the flat base is the next best thing to camber for a youth series for getting good pop on your ollies. It’s a board I’m recommending for a more aggressive approach to riding. The board has super pop, and you’ll be ollie-ing slow signs soon enough! It rips rails and jumps, big jumps too. Highly suggest y’all go out and purchase this board if you’re a smaller profile rider like me but still are looking to destroy your home mountain. Hit your local shop and let them know. These should be hitting stores by fall 2017.
Sizes available: 134, 138, 142, 146
Somewhere near Main Park at Woodward Copper.
by Justin Phipps,
Woodward Copper has been fire lately, here’s why. Everything that’s been up this year has been creative and unique which opens up so much more possibilities to making tricks happen your way or maybe even in a way that hasn’t been done before. Copper is doing a really good job keeping the setup new so you don’t have to ride the same features the same way all the time. Really stoked that they do their part to keep things from getting stale, especially with the cool tranny features. At Copper it feels likes the park has some sort of new rail or hip or something up everyday, so it’s never exactly the same park. Also, I like that it’s not as if EVERYBODY is going there and you have to fight long lift lines (or the stop and go lifts). The high speed quad is usually pretty fast getting you back up. I don’t seem to get snaked quite as regularly and there’s definitely less gapers here, just fact. Copper has been super fun this year though and you need to peep a couple of the videos posted here if you need proof. Both are very recent and I think you’ll approve of what’s going on.
Bonus points: Mini Pipe, tranny, no yellow jackets.

This is the black ninja suit and there’s other cool colors and flavors and patterned prints.
by Justin Phipps,
True story. I got the chance to sesh a hip at Keystone earlier this month with one of the coolest people at Airblaster, Tim Eddy. He sent me out a ninja suit for riding with him and I’m gonna tell you what I think of it. First off ninja suits are rad, they’re in a class of their own when it comes to the underwear game. I don’t think I’d ever seen long johns that come in one piece, but Airblaster has been making the for awhile now and I know a lot of guys have a lot of good things to say about ’em. What’s good about it is that you don’t need to worry about getting snow in your pants! It also has a hood so you don’t get snow in your shirt either. And it’s got hand pannies so snow doesn’t get inside your sleeves either. So not only is the Ninja suit one piece, but it keeps you dry. Now if you’re worried about not being able to go to the bathroom in it, no worries it has an opening in the front and a zipper in the back for #2. Overall, the Airblaster ninja suit is the best, and if you wanted to be cool you could probably go and ride without a jacket or pants and just do ninja things on your homeys. So go get one!
